The Path
Before Castello di Vicarello, the work moved through adjacent disciplines: fashion industry professional in Bali, then cookbook author at Rizzoli (2011). Aurora Baccheschi Berti now owns Castello di Vicarello, where hospitality and editorial work sit inside the same house.
The Work Today
The cooking is almost entirely Italian, with Lombardy, Tuscany, and the Tuscan Maremma as its frame. The Far East is held in the décor, not the menu. Aurora Baccheschi Berti describes the place plainly: “It’s really not a hotel at all—it’s a home.”
