Baltazar Cruz Gómez

Baltazar Cruz Gómez is a mezcalero and palenquero from San Luis del Río, Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico, associated with artisanal mezcal production for brands including Alipús and Palenqueros. He is a first-generation palenquero, and he has been producing mezcal for more than 40 years, working with traditional methods such as pine-vat fermentation and copper distillation.
