Blanca Esthela Martínez Bueno

Blanca Esthela Martínez Bueno, known as Doña Esthela, is the chef and owner of La Cocina de Doña Esthela in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. Reports describe her as originally from Sinaloa and note that she moved to Ensenada years earlier, first working as a laundress before beginning to prepare burritos for vineyard workers and local students, which grew into the restaurant. The restaurant opened in 2008 and became widely known for its breakfast, including machaca con huevo, after later recognition from the Michelin Guide and international food press.
