C. Orville Schupp

C. Orville Schupp was an American distilling executive whose career began at George T. Stagg Co. in 1939 as a maintenance engineer after earning an electrical engineering degree from Purdue University in 1931. He was promoted to supervising engineer and then plant manager under Col. Albert Blanton, later becoming an area manager and eventually president of Schenley Distillers Inc. where he oversaw domestic and international operations and brands including Ancient Age, Old Stag, Dewar’s Scotch, and I.W. Bernheim. He returned to Frankfort in 1970 and later became active in real-estate development and community projects, including Juniper Hill Park and the Frankfort Country Club.
