i. Biography
Coming Up
The work here moves between public order, hospitality, and spirit retail, with Cameron McCann’s route showing how those disciplines can sit in the same commercial frame. He served in London police until 2007, then shifted into business through Ealaín Gallery Ltd. In Loch Lomond, where he was director from 2008. That business marked the start of a family venture built around place and a different pace of work. Festival-making became a useful extension of that model. In 2010, Cameron McCann founded the Stirling Whisky Festival in Stirling and the Stirling Gin Festival in Stirling, joining event production to the spirits trade and to the local identity that runs through his work. From 2012 to 2015, he was director at Spirit of Stirling Ltd in Stirling, adding another strand to a portfolio anchored in the region. The current structure of the business remains concentrated in Stirling. Cameron McCann has been director of Stirling Gin Ltd. Since 2015, co-owner of Stirling Distillery since 2018, and since 2023 has been director of Sunnylaw Consulting Limited and director of Stirling Distillery (Whisky) Limited. Read together, those roles show a career built from service into enterprise, with hospitality and spirit-making operating side by side.
In Their Words “I am a co-owner with my wife June.” “It was then that my wife and I started our first business - an art gallery and whisky shop Ealaín Gallery on the banks of Loch Lomond.”
