i. Biography
Christian Härtge is the head chef at Salzhaus in Solothurn, Switzerland, where he has led the kitchen since the restaurant opened in 2009. The restaurant says his Asian-inspired fusion cuisine, built around fresh regional ingredients, has set standards in Solothurn and beyond, and Michelin’s Bib Gourmand recognition has been awarded to his work for years. Salzhaus also notes that he completed chef training in Germany and brought inspiration from a cooking stint at the Marriott in Bangkok shortly before Salzhaus opened.
