    Craig Stansborough is the chief winemaker at Grant Burge Wines in the Barossa Valley, where the winery’s official site says he leads the winemaking team. Grant Burge Wines states that he was born in Gawler on the edge of the Barossa Valley, began as a cellar hand with B Seppelt & Son in 1983, and joined Grant Burge Wines in 1993, rising from Cellar Manager to Assistant Winemaker, Winemaker, Senior Winemaker, and ultimately Chief Winemaker. He is also identified with Purple Hands Wines, a Barossa Valley wine partnership he co-founded with Mark Slade in 2006, and industry coverage notes his long-standing focus on Barossa reds and an emphasis on elegance, texture, and less oak.
