Before Dan Fishman became Vice President of Winemaking and Vineyards at Donum Estate in Napa, his path included study at Cornell University and a growing focus on wine. His work has remained centered on Donum Estate and on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The Climb
Dan Fishman trained at Cornell University and University of British Columbia before stepping into the field as a harvest intern at Donum Estate (2007). He then trained at Wither Hills Winery at Wither Hills Winery in New Zealand, and worked several vintages under winemaker Kenneth Juhasz at Donum Estate (from 2008). Today, Dan is Head Winemaker, responsible for estate vineyards, and Vice President of winemaking and vineyards of Donum Estate (since 2012).
