    i. Biography

    Dani López is the chef and owner of Kokotxa in San Sebastián’s Parte Vieja (Old Town), where he runs contemporary Basque cuisine with Estela Velasco in front of house. Kokotxa opened in 2002 and later earned a Michelin star, which the restaurant has continued to hold in multiple recent sources. He is the kitchen lead behind the restaurant’s market-driven, tradition-rooted cooking.
