i. Biography
Danny Yip is the owner and restaurateur behind The Chairman in Hong Kong, which he opened in 2009 after an earlier restaurant career in Australia and work in technology. Yip develops the restaurant's ingredient-led Cantonese cuisine in close partnership with long-time head chef Kwok Keung Tung. The Chairman returned to No. 1 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2026, and Yip received the Asia's 50 Best Icon Award in 2024.
