At De Bortoli Wines in Bilbul, the Managing Director role carries both operational control and the quieter obligation of continuity. Bilbul anchors the company’s identity in place, and Darren De Bortoli’s position sits inside that framework: keeping a family wine business moving while protecting the character that defines it. His own description of the company as “down-to-earth and respected,” and as “family run and family-owned,” reads as a working standard rather than a slogan.
