Diego Campos

Roasting at Amor Perfecto, Bogotá, Colombia, from 2008 gave the work its first technical frame: green coffee, heat application, batch discipline, and the sensory decisions that connect production to service. Diego Campos entered coffee there as a roaster, then moved into Professional Barista work at the same establishment. The later addition of Finca El Diamante, Belen, Huila, Colombia, placed farm ownership alongside bar work, keeping cultivation and service in the same working vocabulary without separating origin from presentation.

Professional Barista work at Amor Perfecto is the public-facing end of a chain that also includes roasting experience and farm ownership. Diego Campos works within that chain as a Professional Barista at Amor Perfecto and as Owner of Finca El Diamante, bringing Colombian coffee through production, preparation, and service contexts with the same materials in view.

Barista competition recognition marks repeat performance under technical scrutiny. Diego Campos was named World Barista Champion in 2021, after winning Colombian Barista Champion in 2019, 2016, and 2014. The sequence matters in trade terms: national wins across multiple years, followed by the world title, show consistency in preparation, service, and presentation of coffee from Colombia.
