Eleuterio García Martínez is a third-generation Maestro Mezcalero from San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca, associated with the artisanal mezcal brand Mezcal Güey. Sources also describe him as a former U.S. rodeo bull rider known as “El Solitario” or “The Loner,” and as the producer behind the brand’s traditional, micro-batch mezcal made with local wild maguey and copper-still distillation.
