    i. Biography

    Éric Janin is the fourth-generation owner and lead winemaker of Domaine Paul Janin et Fils in Romanèche-Thorins, specializing in the Moulin-à-Vent crus of Beaujolais. Having joined the family domaine in 1983 and taken full leadership upon his father Paul's retirement in 2008, he established a micro-négociant arm in 2017 and converted the estate to certified organic viticulture. In recognition of his structured, terroir-expressive Gamay wines, he and his daughter Perrine were named Winemaker of the Year (Beaujolais) by La Revue du Vin de France.
