Today, Erich is winemaker of Weingut Scheiblhofer, and that training continues to show up in the daily work of the cellar and the estate. Where They Are Now

Scheiblhofer serves as head winemaker at Weingut Scheiblhofer in Andau, Austria. The title marks the point where education, experience, and philosophy meet. In his public remarks, construction and sustainability are not treated as separate concerns. “We don't build because we like rolling stones, but because sustainability is an important topic for us,” he says, making the case for infrastructure as part of the work of wine. That same practical view extends beyond the estate itself.
