Eugénie Brazier

Eugénie Brazier (1895–1977), known as "la Mère Brazier," was a French chef from La Tranclière, Ain, who opened La Mère Brazier in Lyon in 1921 and later a second restaurant at Col de la Luère outside the city. She became the first person to receive six Michelin stars, with three stars for each of her two restaurants, and she is widely cited as the first woman to earn three Michelin stars. She died in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in 1977.
