i. Biography
María Florencia Rey is an Argentine sommelier based in Peru who has worked in service and wine roles in Lima since 2011. She has been Head Sommelier at Maido since 2014, where she has led the beverage program at the Nikkei restaurant, and she received the Beronia Latin America’s Best Sommelier Award in 2023. Sources also describe her as Vice President and Founding Member of the Alianza Peruana de Sommeliers (ALIPS).
