Fortino Ramos is an first-generation Maestro Mezcalero from San Pablo Huixtepec, Oaxaca, who has made mezcal for about 40 years and established his own palenque in 1998. He is identified with The Lost Explorer mezcal, where he has been a partner since 2020 and produces artisanal mezcal in San Antonio, San Pablo Huixtepec.
