i. Biography
Franz Keller is a German chef and restaurateur associated with the Adler Wirtschaft in Hattenheim in the Rheingau, where he returned to regional cooking after leaving star gastronomy. He is also connected to the Schwarzer Adler in Vogtsburg-Oberbergen, the family’s long-running hotel and restaurant at the Weingut Franz Keller in Baden, which has held a Michelin star since 1969. In addition to his culinary work, he is tied to the family wine estate and has been described as a co-owner/involved operator of the Adler Wirtschaft.
