Gavin Schmidt is the chef and partner at The Morris, a San Francisco restaurant opened in fall 2016 by Schmidt and owner Paul Einbund, whom he met while working at the Michelin-starred Coi where Schmidt served as chef de cuisine. His cuisine emphasizes straightforward, flavor-forward dishes including in-house charcuterie from whole pigs and rabbits, smoked duck, and items like charred broccoli with grilled squid. Prior experience includes roles at Campton Place in San Francisco and Campagne in Seattle.
