Gérald Passédat

Gérald Passédat, born March 24, 1960, in Marseille, is a French chef and proprietor of Le Petit Nice, a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in his native city. He trained at the École Hôtelière de Nice, Le Coq Hardi à Bougival, Le Bristol and Le Crillon in Paris, and under chefs Troisgros and Michel Guérard before joining his father's restaurant in 1985, assuming full direction in 2000. Under his leadership, Le Petit Nice became the first restaurant in Marseille to achieve three Michelin stars, and he is recognized for his Mediterranean cuisine emphasizing forgotten fish species and seasonal Provençal ingredients.
