Gérard Margeon

Gérard Margeon is a French sommelier from Beaune, Burgundy, born, who became one of Alain Ducasse’s key wine executives after joining the group in 1993. He served as chef sommelier at Le Louis XV in Monaco and later as first chef sommelier at Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, then took charge of the sommellerie for Alain Ducasse’s restaurants from 2000 onward, overseeing thousands of wine references and training programs. In 2024, reporting indicated he was set to leave his executive role at Ducasse Paris on 31 July and be succeeded by Bernard Neveu.
