Gerd Windhösel is the patron and head chef of the Restaurant Hirsch at the Romantik Hotel | Restaurant Hirsch in Sonnenbühl-Erpfingen on the Swabian Alb, where the restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star continuously. A Romantik Hotels podcast transcript also states that he is still the chef and has been solely responsible for the kitchen for many years.
