Gilberto Roldán Quezada

Gilberto Roldán Quezada is a fourth-generation maestro mezcalero from Nombre de Dios, Durango, Mexico, with more than two decades of experience making artisanal mezcal and sotol. He is the producer behind multiple small-batch spirits, including La Remilgosa, Rayo Seco, Ultramundo, and Lagrimas de Dolores, all tied to the Durango/Nombre de Dios region. He is also described as working in traditional Durango methods such as hand chopping agave, in-ground fermentation, and double distillation with copper-and-wood stills.
