i. Biography
Giorgi (Gogi) Dakishvili is a Georgian winemaker based in Kakheti, where he founded Dakishvili Family Vineyards and the Dakishvili family cellar in Shalauri near Telavi. He is a third-generation winemaker and the creator of Orgo and the Dakishvili Family Selection wines, with work spanning both traditional qvevri and modern winemaking. One profile also notes that he studied viticulture and oenology in Odessa and later returned to Kakheti to develop his family winery and consulting work.
