Technical schooling at Cabrillo College and University of California at Davis gave the winemaking a formal base before the work settled into Mendocino County. In 1976, Greg Graziano became founder at Milano in Mendocino County, establishing an independent practice in a region where season, site, and time remain part of the cellar’s discipline. Varietal work rewards repetition without copying, and the next stages of this career kept that principle in view. In 1988, Greg Graziano became founder at Domaine Saint Gregory, further defining a Mendocino wine practice tied to regional identity and Old World reference points. The same year stands as a key point in his record as founder of Graziano in Mendocino County, California. Ownership of Graziano Family of Wines now gathers those decades under one house.
