Hans Stefan Steinheuer

Hans Stefan Steinheuer is a German chef associated with Steinheuers Restaurant "Zur Alten Post" in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, where he built the family restaurant into one of Germany’s leading fine-dining destinations. He took over the parental inn in 1985 and later handed day-to-day kitchen leadership to his son-in-law Christian Binder in 2015, while remaining tied to the restaurant as culinary head/patron. The restaurant has held two Michelin stars and Steinheuer was named "Koch des Jahres" by Gault Millau in 2000.
