Hervé Berland

Hervé Berland is a wine industry executive who served as CEO of Château Montrose from 2012 to October 2022, overseeing the Saint-Estèphe Second Growth estate owned by the Bouygues brothers. Prior to joining Montrose, he spent 35 years with Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. (Château Mouton-Rothschild), serving as Managing Director since 2006, during which he helped expand the Rothschild family's wine and luxury investments internationally, particularly in Southeast Asian markets. Under his leadership at Montrose, the estate achieved critical acclaim for its 2014 and 2016 vintages and pioneered sustainability initiatives including organic and biodynamic viticulture trials.
