    i. Biography

    Isa Bal is a Turkish-born Master Sommelier who co-founded Trivet in Bermondsey, London, with chef Jonny Lake in 2019. He began his hospitality career as a commis sommelier at The Vineyard at Stockcross near Newbury, then spent more than 12 years as head sommelier for The Fat Duck Group before launching Trivet. Trivet won its first Michelin star in 2022 and its second in 2024, and Bal received the Michelin Sommelier Award for his work there in 2022.
