The Path
Bandwidth is the operating principle behind Jamie Tiampo’s work: the ability to move food, image, and message without losing clarity. That sits at the center of a practice built across food, photography, and video, where timing matters and the finished piece has to hold up in motion. Before his work in food content, Tiampo worked in enterprise software at IBM, a background that put him inside large systems and fast change. Training at New York University and the Institute of Culinary Education gave Tiampo a base that could move between the kitchen and the screen. The shift from technology into food media and hospitality did not replace that earlier discipline; it redirected it, with the same attention to scale, systems, and how ideas travel.
The Work Today
At SeeFood Media in New York, Jamie Tiampo works as Founder & President, shaping food content with an eye toward circulation as much as composition. In that setting, the craft is not only making something that looks good once, but making something that can keep moving across platforms and still read clearly to the audience seeing it on a phone, a feed, or a screen in passing. As a partner at dell’anima, L'Apicio, and L’Artusi, Tiampo brings media thinking into hospitality without separating it from the room itself. Those roles place him across content, operations, and brand presence, with food treated as something that has to function in service, on camera, and online. That range is the throughline: a career organized around how food is made visible. "Today, people can watch a video on their phone while they walk down the sidewalk. For brands, that means video content can reach an audience anytime, anywhere." The point is practical. Food media has to compete with movement, distraction, and limited attention, and Tiampo’s work is built for that condition.
In Their Words “Today, people can watch a video on their phone while they walk down the sidewalk. For brands, that means video content can reach an audience anytime, anywhere.”
