Jay Khan is the co-founder and beverage director of COA in Hong Kong, the agave-focused cocktail bar he opened in November 2017 after research trips to Mexico to study tequila and mezcal. He is also a co-founder of The Savory Project in Hong Kong’s Soho district and is associated with COA Shanghai, which reopened in 2024 in Shanghai’s Middle Fuxing Road area. COA was named No. 1 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2021 and 2022, and Khan has been profiled as a leading figure in Asia’s agave-cocktail scene.
