Jean-Claude Fourmon is the honorary chairman of Champagne Joseph Perrier, the Châlons-en-Champagne house founded in 1825, and he previously led the maison for decades before handing day-to-day control to his son Benjamin Fourmon. The Joseph Perrier house history page says he joined the company in 1979 and became CEO six years later, while later coverage notes he was born in Épernay and has remained an ambassador for the house after the transition.
