Since 1988, Jean-Hervé Chiquet has held co-ownership and co-winemaking at Champagne Jacquesson in Dizy. The appointment fixes the house’s working method around two functions at once: decision-making in the cellar and responsibility for the blend.

The Work Today

At Jacquesson, the brief is not to force sameness from year to year. Jean-Hervé Chiquet’s stated standard is to build the best possible blend in each season, with the work judged against the year in front of him rather than a fixed formula.

Jean-Hervé's signature wines include Cuvée No. 728, Cuvée 742 Extra Brut, Corne Bautray, and Vauzelle Terme.
