Jean-Michel Stephan

Jean-Michel Stephan is a Côte-Rôtie winemaker based in Tupin-et-Semons in the Northern Rhône, where he established his domaine in 1991 and began producing his first wines in 1994. He is known for organic farming since 1995 and for a natural-winemaking approach that avoids added yeast and, in many cuvées, added sulfur. He later joined with his son Romain to create Maison Stephan, extending the family project beyond the original estate.
