Roseworthy College gave Jeffrey Grosset the technical base for a career built on precision. That training shows up in the way the work is framed: detail matters, and structure is treated as seriously as aroma or length. Since 1981, Grosset has been the winemaker of Grosset Wines, and that long tenure has shaped a style marked by consistency, restraint, and a clear point of view held across vintages.

Riesling remains central to the work at Grosset. Jeffrey Grosset has made that focus explicit: “People associate me with Riesling and I’m fine with that.” The line is useful because it describes the position exactly. In his hands, Riesling is treated not as a specialty corner of the list, but as a grape with the range and seriousness to stand beside the best-known varieties. His own aim, as he has said, has been to change how the grape is understood.
