i. Biography
Jenny Camarena is the fourth Master Distiller in the history of Destilería La Alteña in Arandas, Jalisco, and the first woman to hold the title. The youngest of nine children of the Camarena tequila family, she trained as an architect and built a career in design before returning to La Alteña in 2015, working across the distillery until she was named Master Distiller and CEO in April 2025, succeeding her brother Carlos Camarena.
