Joël Robuchon

Joël Robuchon was a French chef and restaurateur born in Poitiers and died in Geneva in 2018. He became head of the Hôtel Concorde Lafayette kitchens at age 29, opened Jamin in Paris in 1981, and was later named Chef of the Century by Gault & Millau. His group’s restaurants amassed a record total of Michelin stars, and he revived his global brand with L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon after announcing retirement in 1995.
