José Peñin

José Peñín is a Spanish wine journalist, critic, and author from Santa Colomba de la Vega, León, born. He founded the Peñín Guide, one of the most influential references for Spanish wine in international trade, and was a pioneer in Spain’s systematic wine scoring and comparative tastings from 1975 onward. He also founded the wine club CLUVE in 1975, launched Bouquet in 1980, and has published more than fifteen wine books and manuals.
