    Josep Roca i Fontané (born in Girona in 1966) is the sommelier and co-owner of El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain, the three-Michelin-starred restaurant he runs with his brothers Joan and Jordi. The restaurant opened in 1986, and official restaurant material describes him as the wine expert of the family project and a master of food-and-wine pairing in the dining room. He was named World’s Best Sommelier in 2022 by Restaurant magazine coverage cited in industry reporting.
