i. Biography
Kamara Shankle is a sous chef at 39 Rue de Jean in Charleston. He began in the restaurant as a dishwasher in 2021 and moved onto the cooking line, learning from Letha McClary and Ashtin Stroud. His food draws on French, Italian, and Asian influences. He is participating in the 2026 Food & Wine Classic in Charleston.
