Kiko Moya is the chef at L'Escaleta in Cocentaina, Alicante, where he joined the family restaurant team in 1999 and later became head chef in 2005. He is associated with the second generation leading the restaurant, which has held Michelin recognition and reached two Michelin stars by 2016. He has been credited with moving the restaurant from its earlier location in Cocentaina to its current countryside setting near Montcabrer.
