i. Biography
Lauren Patz is a California spirits professional who has worked in distilling and blending for Spirit Works Distillery in Sebastopol and later Redwood Empire Whiskey / Purple Brands. She joined Spirit Works in 2013 after working at a chocolate factory, became head distiller in 2017, and has been described as leading the creation of whiskeys and other spirits with a focus on heritage grains and blending.
