i. Biography
Laurens M. Hartman is the co-founder, owner, and winemaker of Domaine Karanika in Amyntaio, Macedonia, Greece, a producer known for traditional-method sparkling wines built around Xinomavro. He studied Economic History at the University of Leiden, worked in publishing in the Netherlands for about 15 years, and later retrained in wine, including oenology and viticulture training in Europe and the United States.
