Sonoma wine rewards technicians who can work across scale without losing the read on site, and Lisa Evich’s path moved through that exact discipline. Trained at Sonoma State University and University of California, Davis, she started as a laboratory technician at William Hill Winery, then advanced through winemaker, enologist, assistant winemaker, and director of winemaking roles across Simi Winery, Pine Ridge Vineyards, and Arrowood Vineyards & Winery before returning to Simi and, in 2024, moving into a broader Southern Sonoma remit.

Today

At Chateau St. Jean in Kenwood, the 2024 Southern Sonoma assignment places Lisa Evich in a role built around vineyard-driven wines and the stewardship of Cinq Cépages.
