Louis-Ernest Ladurée

Louis-Ernest Ladurée was a French baker and miller who founded a bakery at 16 rue Royale in Paris in 1862, establishing the business that became the Ladurée house. Later brand histories credit him and his wife Jeanne Souchard with creating the small bakery that would evolve into one of Paris’s best-known pastry and tea-salon maisons.
