Luke O’Cuinneagain

Luke O’Cuinneagain is the winemaker at Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West, South Africa, where he took over in 2022 following André van Rensburg’s retirement. He is bringing extensive experience from Rustenburg, Château de Fieuzal, Château Angelus, Caves Robert Dietrich, Screaming Eagle, and a long tenure at Glenelly Estate beginning in 2008. His background also includes a B.Sc. Agric. Honours degree in Viticulture and Oenology from Stellenbosch University and early exposure to wine through work in the Constantia Valley.
