i. Biography
Marc Sassier is an oenologist and rum production executive associated with Saint James in Martinique, where he has served as responsible for production and later as master blender. He also led or held leadership roles in Martinique’s rhum agricole sector, including president of the AOC Martinique, and has been cited for helping shape regulatory standards for agricultural rums in the French overseas territories. He was trained in agronomy and oenology at Montpellier and is having roots in the Jura wine region of France.
