The decisive move came when he left the corporate world for Australia and retrained as a winemaker, a shift that reads as a change of trade rather than a side step. Since 2008, Zambartas Wineries has been the site of that work, with Marcos Zambartas holding the winemaker role and building the practice through continuity.
