Mariana Gonzalez-Trasvina

Mariana Gonzalez-Trasvina is a Mexico City–born chef who was Executive Chef at Bar ‘Cino in Newport, Rhode Island, and later led La Vecina Taqueria, a Mexican concept based on her family’s generational recipes. She was named among the James Beard Foundation’s 2020 Rising Star Chef of the Year nominees, and Rhode Island hospitality groups recognized her with a Stars of the Industry award in 2019. By 2026, reporting indicated she had left Bar ‘Cino and was pursuing ownership of The Atlantic Bistro in Rhode Island.
