In Their Words The line points to the part repetition plays in doughnut retail: loyal customers, regular traffic, and shops that become part of a neighborhood’s routine. For Top Pot, the relationship between location and regular is as central as the product itself. “At the time when we started it was all muffins and bagels were kind of like screw that. Where are the donuts?” That blunt phrasing gets to the opening Top Pot was meant to answer. Seattle had room for doughnuts with more precision and intent, and Klebeck treated that absence as an opportunity to put the category back in view.
